March: A Few of My Favorite Things

How is it already halfway through March?! This year has flown by so far and I can’t seem to keep up. Here’s what I’ve been crushing on this month.

Stella + Dot – This jewelry and accessory line is beautiful. All of the pieces are absolutely stunning. My friend and sorority sister Abby is a new representative of the brand! I tested out a few of the pieces and fell in love with the ear cuff (below).

Nina Dobrev – I’m a huge Vampire Diaries fan. I remember streaming the first season on Facebook because it wasn’t on Netflix (so long ago).  The series finale played this week and I cried throughout the entire hour. Nina posted so many throwback photos from the series and I’m obsessed.

Hanna Eyre’s Voice Audition – Her rendition of Taylor Swift’s Blank Space is mesmerizing. Did I mention that she’s only 15…

Riverdale – When I saw that Cole Sprouse was starring in another television show, I had to check it out (any Suite Life fans out there?)! Turns out the cast is hilariously witty, the show is well-written and the visuals are outstanding. I now follow all of the cast members on Instagram. If you need a new binge-worthy show, I highly recommend this high school drama fest.

Rebecca Reviews: Rosy VoxBox

Welcome to the first installment of Rebecca Reviews! If you’re like me, you do your research before buying anything online. For example, I just spent 3 hours reading laptop reviews (update on that later!) I always want to make sure I’m getting the highest quality for the best price. This is why I love Influentser.

Influenster sent me a box full of free items to review. The box, called the #RosyVoxBox, included so many wonderful products. Let’s get to reviewing! All opinions are my sassy self’s own.

Secret Clinical Strength Deodorant – This smells AMAZING. It smells like heaven in deodorant form. I struggle with finding the perfect antiperspirant. So many brands out there streak, only work for a couple of hours, or they smell terrible. After a 24 hour test, Clinical Strength still smelled amazing, didn’t leave any streaks and worked all day long. Do you need a deodorant that can take you from work to the gym and back home? This works.

Fancy Feet by Foot Petals – Fancy Feet sent me ball of foot cushions. They are slid into heels or flats to cushion the sensitive ball of foot area. To be honest, these were a bit of a mystery to me. I hate wearing heels, so I rarely wear them. These cushions were confusing and didn’t stay in place as promised. Disclaimer: I am very active and move around a lot even in heels. These might work for those who tend to sit during the day.

Vera Wang Embrace – I received two sample scents from Vera Wang. The first perfume  is Periwinkle and Iris. It came in this pretty blue package that reminds me of summers spent in South Carolina. This scent is subtle and smells like my grandmother’s herb garden; soft and full of sunshine.

The second scent is Green Tea and Pear Blossom. I love fruity aromas and this packs a punch. Perfectly balanced, this fragrance is ideal for summer days spent in sundresses. Both of these odors are gorgeous and delicate. They will last for hours and won’t disappoint.

Purell Naturals – This is a lifesaver. I work two jobs outside of school. I’m an intern and I babysit for a few families on a weekly basis. This bottle has a lock-top, which means no spills in my purse,  and kills 99.9% of germs. For all my fellow nannies, sitters and child-care providers, you need this! It’s made of natural ingredients and is safe for all classrooms, car rides and doesn’t spill. Don’t get sick my friends.

“Can you get more natural than this?!”- me

Not Your Mother’s Beach Babe Sea Salt Spray – THIS. I use Not Your Mother’s products on a weekly basis (dry shampoo anyone?) and was ecstatic when this came in the mail! I’ve used the sea salt spray before and absolutely adored the smell. Then, I cut my hair. So I decided to post my review of this product on my Instagram story. Check it out here. The spray is perfect for creating quiet waves, the perfect ‘do for a casual night out.

My hair smelled like I dipped my head in the ocean. I’m in love.

After trying all of these products, I smell like a coconut flower goddess. I keep sniffing myself. Sorry if that’s too much information, but I’m feeling myself right now.

Have you tried any of these products? Leave a comment below and let me know what you think!

Athleisure: Comfort to the Max

“Athleisure” is the trending fashion term of 2017. In my own words, athleisure is defined as societal acceptance of yoga pants 24/7. It’s the ultimate balance of functionality, athleticism and comfort. (It is also my excuse to wear leggings 100% of the time when I’m not at work.)

This past week, Kayla, Abby and I strolled down to the riverfront for a wonderful afternoon of sightseeing, hiking and ice cream.

Shoes details: I love Asics. They’re my go-to running shoe and keep my ankles supported through long hikes.

Legging details: These are brand new from Fabletics. They’re an interesting fabric that really holds everything together. I like them for hiking, but would try a different brand for those hard gym workouts. I would recommend these Nike leggings for running.

Jacket details: I bought this jacket years ago at Target. I love bright colors (just look at my Instagram feed), so this jacket is perfect. It’s super light and just the right coverage for Spring. A similar jacket is on Kohl’s website here.

Fall Flannel

My closet is 50% athletic shoes and 50% fashion for fall. Anyone who knows me can tell you that I absolutely adore flannel, boots and my LandsEnd vests. They’re my staples throughout every fall season.

Flannel Shirt // My flannel shirt above is from Maurices last season. This one is similar, just in a different color.

Lands End Vest // I love winter vests. They’re so easy to layer, keep you super warm, and are so easy to pull off. This is a similar vest to mine above.

Enjoy the beautiful weather!

A Few of My Favorite Things

During these past two weeks, I’ve been trying to be a #GoalDigger. My roommates and I all set goals to accomplish during the month of October. Some of them focus on fitness, others focus on mental health. If we accomplish our goals, we are going to party it up at the Melting Pot (delicious cheese fondue)!

Here’s what has been catching my eye this past week:

Pitch – the TV Show

I’m all about girl power and this show exudes #girlboss attitude. Airing on Fox, Pitch is about the first female pitcher in Major League Baseball. Kylie Bunbury owns the screen with her one-of-the-guys attitude. This is a must-see.

Late Night Riff-Off with James Corden and Shawn Mendes

I love the Late Late Show. James Corden is the show host that I’ve been waiting for. He’s hilarious, witty and his talent is off the charts. He showcases his singing voice in a generation battle against singer Shawn Mendes. Best line of the whole sequence: “You want to carry on or you want to go back to your room and pretend this didn’t happen?”

Gilmore Girls Coffee Shops

This is SO EXCITING. Netflix is turning real-life coffee shops into replicas of Luke’s Diner. They’re also giving away free coffee – yes free. You can see if any shops in your city are participating in the link above. So, who’s going with me?!

What’s caught your eye this past week?
